A 20-year-old woman from Nepal was allegedly raped by three men, including her husband's friend, between Friday and Saturday, local media reported.

Two accused, who are also Nepali nationals, have been arrested, police told local media. The victim, whose name has been withheld, had arrived in Mumbai looking for her husband.
Indian media reported that two of the arrested have been identified as Zulfikar Shaikh (26) and Parvez Shaikh (20). Local police are on the lookout for the third accused, identified as Feroz, Additional Police Commissioner Pravin Salunkhe told the Mumbai Mirror.

Reports said Zulfikar and the victim’s husband are into the business of making leather bags at Madanpura, and have been friends for the past many years.
According to police, the victim reached Mumbai via Bihar on Friday. However, on not finding her husband at his residence in Madanpura, she approached Zulfikar, who took her to his house and raped her, police said. Subsequently, Zulfikar asked his friend Feroz to arrange for her food and accommodation, but the latter took her to a guest house in Mumbai Central where he raped her.

After Feroz escaped, the victim called up her relative, requesting him to help her return to Nepal. Reports said that the two missed the train. Her relative then asked one of his co-workers, Parvez, to take her to a guest house but Parvez took advantage of the situation and raped her at A1 lodge in Kamathipura, police said.nepalnews
